A thoughtful approach to UGC-style AI creative

UGC-style creative borrows familiar patterns from creator content: a direct opening, a practical demonstration and conversational language. An AI-assisted version can use that structure, but it should not invent the experience or endorsement of a real customer.
Choose the right speaker
Decide whether the piece is a founder explanation, a hired presenter’s demonstration or an actual customer story. These formats carry different expectations. A presenter can explain product features without claiming to have personally used the product for months.
If a synthetic presenter is part of the concept, make that role clear rather than disguising it as an independent customer. Build the script around verifiable product information and a demonstration. Do not manufacture a testimonial just because first-person language feels natural in the format.
Write for a person listening
Use short sentences and familiar words. Read the script aloud and remove phrases that sound like a product brochure. A useful structure is: identify the situation, show the relevant feature, explain the practical detail and give the viewer a clear next step.
For a hypothetical cable organizer, “Here is where the adapter fits” gives the camera a concrete job. “This changed my entire life” adds a claim without useful explanation. Conversational writing works best when it stays specific.
Keep the production purposeful
Natural framing and a straightforward edit can suit a creator format, but deliberately adding errors is not a substitute for believable communication. Prioritize clear speech, readable captions and a demonstration that matches the narration.
Before delivery, check the source and permission for any voice, likeness, quote or supplied footage. Keep any needed disclosures readable in the final format. Review applicable requirements for the intended campaign separately; the creative principle is simple: viewers should understand who is speaking and what the message is based on.
